According to Nando Pelusi PhD one of the reasons we often feel so exhausted is through worry, particularly when it comes to making decisions. As a result of worrying about decision making we often end up making bad decisions, which makes us feel more anxious. It’s a vicious circle.
So how do we get ourselves out of this cycle?
Worry isn’t something that happens to you, it is something you do to yourself. This is a very important concept to embrace. You may also want to practise the following affirmation “I cannot have certainty, and I don’t need it”.
Accepting this basic philosophy can allow you to develop in confidence, and at the same time move towards ‘reasoning’.
By taking ownership of the problem and moving towards calm reasoning, you can escape primitive “all or nothing” thinking and reduce the amount of time you spend worrying.
If you worry about things, or suffer from anxiety, how do you feel about these recommendations?
